From November 30 to December 4, 2009, justices from the Supreme Court of Indonesia, High Court of Sumatera, and Ministry of Environment visited Thailand and Philippines to meet with counterparts and identify strategies for replicating the “green benches” and developing a judicial certification program in Indonesia. 

The delegation met with the Supreme Court of Thailand, the Supreme Administrative Court of Thailand, and the Supreme Court of the Philippines, as well as national training institutes, to share ideas various model of environmental courts and court divisions, as well as judicial capacity building programs.
