The Department of Energy (DOE) has informed Semirara Mining and Power Corp. of the conditions it has set for the lifting of the suspension order against the latter’s coal operating contract.
“The investigation committee has already submitted and I wrote Semirara informing them of the findings,” DOE Officer in Charge (OIC) Zenaida Monsada said.
Monsada said the investigating committee, headed by Energy Undersecretary Donato Marcos, has recommended that Semirara strictly submit a three-year plan of operations and hire a technical consultant, among others.
