GEORGE TOWN: The Penang state government should drop the idea of holding public briefings on the proposed reclamation project along the Permatang Damar Laut coast in Bayan Lepas.

Instead, state Gerakan secretary Oh Tong Keong said, the Pakatan Harapan government should first complete an appraisal and evaluation of a detailed environmental impact assessment (EIA) on the controversial mega land reclamation project.
