Residents want MPAJ to release EIA of Bukit Antarabangsa project

NO DECISION has been made on a proposed mixed development project in Bukit Antarabangsa, Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) president Abdul Hamid Abdul Hussain said.

He said the project was discussed at the Selangor Economic Action Council (MTES) on Feb 18.

“They have not made any decision because there are several issues pending.

“The state government has asked MPAJ to check on the conditions set by the technical departments of the project.

“The developers will be required to explain their measures to comply with the conditions,” he disclosed.

Say No To Dash rally on March 20

PETALING JAYA: Residents of Damansara Perdana will hold a rally on March 20 to oppose the building of the Damansara-Shah Alam Highway (DASH).

Say No To Dash (SNTD) member and resident Alvin Chin told reporters here that the project was illegal as it did not comply with the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA).

"The state government is doing something illegal and they are just expecting the residents to keep quiet and listen.

Disaster-scarred Bukit Antarabangsa residents object to new big project

BATF, which is made up of various residents’ associations in Bukit Antarabangsa, has among its members engineers, architects, traffic impact experts, landscape, slope and environment experts, serving and retired government officers, businessmen, developers and concerned residents living in the area.

BATF coordinator Adi Satria said the task force met the project developer last December but were not satisfied with the answers it received during the meeting.
