Move to stop wetlands port plans

A group of Chachoengsao residents has asked the Administrative Court to revoke permits granted to a private firm to build ports and factories on Bang Pakong wetland.

The residents, from the Paed Rew Sustainable Town Assembly and the Bang Pakong River Basin Group, on Tuesday submitted the petition to Rayong Administrative Court.

It asked the court to revoke construction permits granted by the director of the Harbour Master's Office Region 6 and the president of the Tambon Sanamchan Administration Organisation to Eastern TPK Capital Co.
