Power company vows to comply with Ilocos Norte ordinance

Johor to table state environment act in 2015

Come next year, the Johor Government is expected to table the state environment enactment to hasten the process of studying nature and determining development in the state.

State health and environment committee chairman Datuk Ayub Rahmat said the enactment, however, was still under discussion and studies were being carried out by the Johor Department of Environment and Johor Economic Planning Unit.

Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Ismail Sultan Iskandar has spoken about Johor needing its own environment enactment.

Badung legislator launches drive to save environment

The speaker of the Badung Legislative Council in Bali, I Wayan Puspa Negara, has proposed an initiative to save the environment by issuing local regulations.

"Environmental concerns, especially pollution and the destruction of the environment have always been an important issue during any development process in almost all regions of Indonesia that need to be rescued as soon as possible. This is to ensure that the country's environment is not damaged in the future," he said in Mangupura, Bali, on Tuesday as quoted by Antara news agency.
