BHUBANESWAR: The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has asked the Orissa State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB) and the chief secretary to take stock of the pollution level at all hotels in the state and to file a status report.
The NGT direction came after an environment campaigner, Biranchi Narayan Mohapatra, filed a petition in the green panel stating that several hotels in the state had been established and were functioning without the pollution board's consent. The hotels are also flouting pollution control norms, the petition said.
